Questions

I no longer have access to the Google account I signed up with

Your DocuX account is irrevocably linked to your email id. If you have lost access to the Google account you signed up with, you cannot sign in to your DocuX account.

However, if you had signed up with a password, you will still be able to log in to DocuX using your email and password. We recommend transferring the ownership of your documents to another account immediately because, without your email account, you will not be able to restore access if you forgot your password in the future.

I want to change my password

You can change your password from your profile settings. Learn how.

If you are logged out and have forgotten your password, please reset it: I forgot my password.

Why am I being asked to change my password so frequently?

Your company’s admin sets how often team members need to change their password on DocuX. This is usually a company-wide security measure to prevent unauthorized access. Please contact your admin for more details.

I was locked out of my account

If you were locked out of your account due to multiple failed login attempts, please wait for a while. You will typically regain access in 5 minutes to 24 hours, depending on the lockout duration set by your company’s admin. If you did not make the login attempts that caused the lockout, please change your password and contact your admin—your account might have been compromised.

Why do I keep getting logged out of my account?

Your company’s admin sets the duration after which inactive users are logged out of their DocuX account. For example, they may set it to log you out if you’ve been inactive for an hour. This is a company-wide security measure to prevent unauthorized access.

Why can't I sign in?

If you are unable to sign in, it could be due to one of several reasons:

  • The credentials are incorrect. Please ensure that you are using the correct email address and password to sign in.
  • Your IP is not allowed by the admin. The admin can restrict the IP addresses that are allowed to access the company’s DocuX account as a security measure. Please contact your admin, if this is the case.
  • Your account has been deleted. If your account was deleted by your company admin (for team members), you won’t be able to sign in.
  • You were locked out of your account: This happens after you’ve made multiple failed login attempts with the wrong password. You may be locked for 5 mins to 24 hours depending on the lockout period defined by your company’s admin. In the meantime, you could try signing in with OTP or directly with Google or Microsoft.
  • Internet connectivity issues. Please ensure your computer has a stable connection to the internet.
