Edit profile

Your profile on DocuX includes details that will be visible to your contacts and collaborators on the platform. This includes your name, profile picture, company name and designation, email, phone number, timezone, signature, and initials.

To view and edit your profile settings:

  • Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the workspace.
  • Click on My settings.
  • The My profile page should open up by default.

  • Click on Settings in the bottom left corner of your workspace.
  • The My profile page should open up by default.

Add or change your profile picture

DocuX creates a basic profile image using the first letter of your name. We highly recommend using your photo as your profile picture to improve recognition.

To add or edit your profile picture:

  • Click on your profile picture in the top right hand corner of your workspace.
  • Click on Change profile picture. edit profile
  • In the popup modal, you can drag and drop an image from your device OR click on the existing profile picture to browse through the files on your device for the new picture.
  • Once selected, click on Done.

Change Account Password

If you use a password to sign in to DocuX, we recommend changing it regularly for security purposes.

To change your password:

  • Click on your profile picture in the top right hand corner of your workspace.
  • Click on Change password. edit profile
  • Enter your current password edit profile
  • Enter and re-enter the new password you wish to set
  • Click on Done.

If you have forgotten your current password, you can reset your password from the sign in screen. Learn how to reset your password.

Edit name

To edit your name:

  • Go to My profile on the Settings page.
  • Edit your name in the First Name and Last Name fields. edit profile
  • Click on Save.
  • You will need to log out and log in again for the change to take effect.

Add company name and designation

This field is optional, but we recommend completing your profile.

To add or edit your company name and designation:

  • Go to My profile on the Settings page.
  • Fill in the Company Name and Designation fields. edit profile
  • Click on Save.
  • You will need to log out and log in again for the change to take effect.

Edit email address

You cannot edit your email address on DocuX. It is irrevocably linked to your DocuX account. This is a platform-wide security measure to ensure that the sensitive and critical data hosted on DocuX is not compromised.

Add a phone number

This is an optional field, but we recommend completing your profile.

To add or edit your phone number:

  • Go to My profile on the Settings page
  • Fill in the field alongside the Phone Number label. Please include your country code preceded by the + sign, eg: +9190000000. edit profile
  • Click on Save.
  • You will need to log out and log in again for the change to take effect.

Set timezone

DocuX uses the timezone you set here to decide when to send eSign reminders to eSigners.

Timing shown elsewhere on the platform, except for document Audit trails, is synchronized with your device’s local time. Timings on Audit trails are in UTC, to ensure that all downloaded trails show accurate and consistent time.

To set your timezone:

  • Go to My profile on the Settings page
  • Choose your timezone from the dropdown alongside the Timezone label. edit profile
  • Click on Save.
  • You will need to log out and log in again for the change to take effect.

Edit signature and initials

Your signature and initials are used on documents that need to be eSigned. They are one of the core elements of your profile.

DocuX auto-generates font-based signature and initials from your name. But you can choose to draw or upload their images instead.

To edit your signature and initials:

  • Go to My profile on the Settings page.
  • Click on the Signature or Initials box alongside the Signature & Initials label. edit profile
  • On the screen that opens up, you can choose to change your name, select font-based signature and initials or draw or upload them.
    • Create font-based signature and initials:
      • Click on the Select font tab. edit profile
      • Choose the Signature and Initials you like best.
      • Click on Create.
    • Draw your signature and initials:
      • Click on the Draw tab.
      • Use your mouse or trackpad to draw your signature and initials in the respective boxes. edit profile
      • You can use different colors from the color swatches given.
      • To erase and redraw, click on clear in the top right corner of the box.
      • Once done, click on Create.
    • Upload your signature and initials
      • Click on the Upload tab.
      • Upload your Signature and Initials files in the respective boxes. You can also import them from cloud storage solutions such as Google Drive and Dropbox, if those services are integrated with your account. edit profile
      • Once uploaded, click on Create.

Questions

Who can see my profile details?

Your name, email address, and profile picture will be visible to your collaborators and team members on the platform.

Except for your name and your email address, all other fields are optional and you may choose to fill them or leave them empty. However, you may need to abide by your company’s policy, if any, on how complete the profile needs to be.

**What happens to documents I eSigned earlier if I change my signature or initials? **

There will be no changes to historical actions, including any documents you have eSigned earlier.

Why can't I draw or upload an eSign?

Your company admin may have disabled eSign creation via drawing or upload. You will have to use font-based signatures and initials.

What does "your role" indicate?

This indicates your role on DocuX, the features you can use, and actions you can take.
